“Friends of St. Luke’s Cancer Hospital” Clothing Collection…

Our Parents’ Association will oversee a clothing collection, next week, in aid of the “Friends of St. Luke’s” Cancer Hospital in Rathgar. The collection will take place on Friday morning sometime after 9.30am, but the Committee have decided that we can start bringing in clothes from Wednesday morning for the Friday collection. The plastic bags provided are quite large, so it is important to stress that partly filled bags can be sent in and these will then be put together to make full bags….and, of course, there is no obligation on anyone to take part! They’ll be delighted no matter what they get..

They have recently modernised their website. I let them know, this morning, that they haven’t restored the “Clothing Collection” link to their events and they have assured me that they are dealing with this right away!!

Christmas Wishes from Poland!!

Today we got this beautiful email from Ewa in Poland. We also miss her family in the school and would like to wish Zosia, Hanna, Sonia, Adam, Marek and herself all our best wishes for Christmas and the New Year 2012!

Dear friends,

It has been a few months since we left Ringsend and went back to Poland.
Now the girls are settled in their new schools, made new friends and moved
on. Only from time to time they suddenly get this blue mood and I know that
they are thinking about many of you. We miss you very much. Girls are not
as relaxed, as they were in Ireland, because Polish school did not change much
from my own days in school.They are veeeery busy but they are
doing really grand and I am very proud of them.

I am a frequent visitor on your website looking for news and photos, we
even sometimes watch Mass in Ringsend Church online. It was a real blessing
to meet you and to be so welcomed in Dublin. You are forever in our hearts
and prayers.
