Welcome!

Welcome to our website! We would like to share some information with you on our school, St. Patrick’s Girls’ National School. We can be found on Cambridge Road, Ringsend, Dublin 4, very close to the Liffey and the East Link Bridge. We are just across the river from the 3 Arena and the Luas Terminus and about 15 minutes walk from Aviva Stadium. Our nearest DART station is Grand Canal Dock which is an 8 minute walk to the school.

Our school shares its building and campus with St. Patrick’s Boys’ National School and we both serve the children of St. Patrick’s Parish, Ringsend and its environs.

Our Patron is the Archbishop of Dublin. Our chairperson is The Very Rev Ivan Tonge.

The number of pupils in our school is approx 160, which allows for 8 single stream classes from Junior Infants to 6th Class.

We currently have 8 Mainstream Class Teachers, 3 Support Teachers,1 Home School Community Liaison Co-ordinator, 3 Special Needs Assistants and an administrative principal.

And last, but very not least, it was an emotional goodbye to our amazing 6th Class girls. Every teacher that has taught this class have said they were an absolute pleasure to teach. They have been such good role models to our younger students, and will be sorely missed. This was evident in the amount of tears that were shed today!! We wish them the very best in Secondary School, and we hope to see them around Ringsend. They got a well deserved guard of honour from the whole school as they left for their final time. #6thclass #endofanera #newchapter #wewillmissyou ❤️

We had our final assembly of the year today! We heard news from each class from the month of June. We had lots of birthdays to celebrate and we sang Happy Birthday to everyone who celebrates their birthday in June, July and August! We said a sad goodbye to Ms. Sheehan who has had a fantastic year in our school, and achieved great things with her Green Committee. Ms. Brooks thanked all of our amazing SNAs and teachers for working so hard this year. Mrs. Ramsay thanked Ms Brooks for making our school such a warm and friendly place to work. Our football team were congratulated once again, for doing us all so proud this year. We wish all of our families and everyone in our local community a lovely summer holiday, and we look forward to welcoming you back at the end of August! #Ringsend #ourschool #dreamteam ❤️

It didn’t stop at the ice creams today! Junior Infants enjoyed a Teddy Bear’s picnic in the park. First class had a pyjama and popcorn party, and fourth class had a pizza party!! Some serious outfit planning must have also been co-ordinated last night, as we had a dynamic duo in pink strutting their stuff in school corridors today!! 🩷 #Ringsend #summerfun #ourgirls

Today was our annual Teachers & SNAs versus 6th Class girls soccer match…and it was as competitive as ever!! The girls were expertly managed by Mrs Ramsay. There were a few new faces on the Teachers & SNAs team, who very bravely donned the jersey, and stepped on to a pitch for the first time (…in their lives!!) Thankfully reliable @rebecca.mcloughlin arrived to play, on her day off! She almost executed a bicycle kick which wowed us all. Two former students, Mia Lily and Ashley very kindly came to ref the match and play for the Teachers & SNAs Team. It was a tense match, with goals going in on both ends of the pitch. Mr Feeney was awarded a questionable penalty on the final whistle of the game, which hit the post, to the delight of the 6th Class girls. They won the game 5-4, and did it in style. A huge thanks to everyone for coming to support. A great day was had by all! 💙💛💚 #summerfun #footballfrenzy

Our 6th Class girls had their graduation today! Mrs Ramsay helped them prepare a very moving ceremony, which brought a lot of us to tears! They are a very special bunch of girls, that have been amazing role models to our younger classes. We are so sad to see them go, but we are also so excited for them as they embark on their next chapter! They are a credit to their families. A huge thanks to everyone who came along today, and to our amazing Parent’s Association for arranging the food for everyone to enjoy! ❤️ #sixthclass #graduation #ourgirls #soproud
