NCI “Educational Guidance Project”

Earlier in the day, Mr. Lehmann and the girls in 6th Class represented the school extremely admirably in the NCI’s “Educational Guidance Programme”, displaying their posters and PowerPoint presentation on the vagaries of transition from Primary to Secondary Level. Their findings were very interesting, especially on the subject of increased stress levels, expressed by a selection of students who have recently made the transition. Mr. Lehmann spoke very eloquently on the process involved in reaching the girls conclusions from their studies and he hosted a very stimulating “Q and A” with two of the girls afterwards. VERY impressive stuff!!!

Our thanks again to all at NCI for intiating this programme…very well done to all concerned!

National College of Ireland (NCI) “Stretch to Learn” Awards

Last evening we had a great time at the NCI “Stretch to Learn” Awards Ceremony in the College. 15 of our girls received their awards from Dr. Philip Matthews, the new President of the NCI and their parents and themselves had a splendid party afterwards. We extend our thanks to everyone involved and especially to Brigina who links so well with the school. Well done, everyone!!

Dublin Port Company Boss visits Ringsend Schools..

Yesterday, Mr Enda Connellan, from Dublin Port Company came to visit our schools before he retires in a few months time. He was made a presentation of a beautiful picture of ships in the port, taken and donated by Fr. Tonge, as a token of appreciation for the work done by the Port Company in sponsoring so many aspects of community life in Ringsend. He was being especially thanked for the funding which allows us to have Interactive Whiteboards in our schools.

2. Summer Camps: All information has gone out. Please have everything sorted by July 17th. Most Registration Forms available in Entrance Hall

3. 6th Class Graduation, Thursday, June 24th @ 11.30am

4. School finishes next Wednesday, June 30th @ 12pm

5. Stamps for ‘End of Year Reports’ 3rd – 6th Class girls should bring in Stamped Addressed Envelopes to post out their reports. If you have difficulty arranging this, please send in 50cent, towards the cost of a stamp. Thank you!
