Camogie match report
Friday, May 8th, 2009On Wednesday, the 29th of April we played a camogie match against St. Olaf’s primary school in Sandyford. It was an away match for us so we had to get a mini-bus out to Sandyford.
During the first half we were all buzzing and taking over the game. We got the sliotar up to their goal lots of times but we couldn’t score. We went in at half time 1 goal behind.
At half time we were really happy with ourselves and Mr.Lehmann said it was the best we’d played even though the pitch was wet, mucky and very difficult to play on.
In the second half we had lost the buzz were losing confidence. I said we could do anything if we put our minds to it. We tried our best but unfortunately we lost by 5 goals. I think the star player was Millie Hawkins. Hard luck girls!

The Jigs and Reels
Friday, April 17th, 2009Just before we broke up for the Easter holiday, Trían Ó Ríordáin, musican (and brother to Ms Ó Ríordáin!) gave us a lively interactive lesson on traditional Irish musical instruments and different trad tunes.
