6th Class have been discovering just how popular the Irish are around the world… did you know all these landmarks “go green” to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? From The Great Wall of China to the Empire State Building and loads of places in between, it seems everyone wants to be Irish for a day!
6th class were involved in a very interesting project with Dublin City Council as part of Dublin’s Culture Connects: The National Neighbourhood. ALIGHT! includes a programme of events, as well as a series of visits for local groups to the National Gallery and Dublin City Gallery the Hugh Lane, a creative dance/design project with children at St Patrick’s Primary School, and taster art/drama workshops with community groups from Riccy’s Youth Café, St Andrews Resource Centre, Pembroke Library and The Lir Academy.
